Hello fello creepsters, Malice here with a spooktacular review on Reindeer Manor. If you don’t know by now, Reindeer Manor, Dungeon of Doom, and 13th Street Morgue are all located on the same property in Red Oak, TX. Reindeer Manor is a theatrical haunted attraction meaning you watch little performances in each room rather than the typical jump out and “boo!” technique. They had a few good startles inside and the trail was awesome. The haunt is put on by a boyscout troop and they do a great job, but because of the young boyscouts age of some of the actors it is not that scary and sometimes get a bit comical. For instance, they have a Dracula room and its just not convincing when the Dracula walks around the room with this long speaking roll and he’s shorter than everyone in there. But being a boyscout haunted house, thats what you are going to get which im sure works great with teenagers or younger audiences, but not for me. Now not all of the scares and actors are small and some scenes are extremely gory. The best part of this attraction was the trail. Its long and sometimes so dark you feel a bit lost. My favorite scene is the one where you are looking through the boards at the kids are taking the intestines out of a girl. If that does not scream gore, then you must be dead. Overall, everyone in my group had a great time. Admission is $17 or you can buy a combo ticket to all three events for $35 (adults) and $15 (for kids).
