For years now, the standard description for Reindeer Manor has been “yea, it’s cool, but you can take your kids there: It isn’t real scary.” Someone must have caught wind of this, because it is BACK with a vengeance. Is it terrifying, make you lsoe sleep scary? No. But it does provide more chills and scares than the average haunted house: Much more!
They have tweaked the formula, while leaving some of the classic moments in tact. All new actors (as far as I can tell) and these guys and gals DELIVER! Reindeer DEPENDS on this to be true, and they have knocked it out of the park. Now this is not to say there are not some really cool special effects. The electrical effects will blow your socks off, and the dinner scene…WOW! (There are 3 lasses in the midst of this haunt that can’t be missed. Don’t be afraid to interact with them!)
This year’s version is longer, better, and flows like a well-produced five star flick. Pay CLOSE attention as you make your way through, as the attention to detail at Reindeer Manor is bested only by the natural history of this building. Also, be aware that the actors will on occasion touch you. It isn’t violent or anything, but can be a bit unnerving if you aren’t aware of this. (We have proof…pictures to prove it
Come early, and make a night of it. They even have fried Oreos and Snickers in the midway area!! ( Only in Texas……) Check the website at http://www.reindeermanor.com/ticketinfo/discounts-and-specials.htm for discounts. A canned food item gets you $5 off an already spooktacular cover charge, and parking is still FREE!
